Creating Your First Project
Setting up your first project is designed to be a seamless experience. This guide covers the details of the project creation flow.
Project Setup
When you start a new project, you'll be asked for:
- Source URL: The website you want to document.
- Project Name: This will be used for your internal dashboard and default site title.
The Onboarding Phases
Docsio guides you through five distinct phases to ensure a high-quality result:
Phase 1: Brand Detection
The AI identifies your brand identity. You'll see your logo and primary colors appear in the preview almost immediately.
Phase 2: Content Analysis
The AI maps out the structure of your documentation. It identifies your core features and plans the necessary pages.
Phase 3: Building
This is where the content is written. The AI generates Markdown files for each section of your docs, using real information from your website.
Phase 4: Polishing
The AI refines the navigation, adds a footer, and ensures the homepage looks professional.
Phase 5: Audit
A final check to ensure everything is consistent and ready for your review.
Managing Multiple Projects
On the Pro Plan, you can manage unlimited projects from a single dashboard. This is ideal for agencies or companies with multiple product lines.
Each project maintains its own independent set of files, branding, and deployment settings.
