Password Protection

Sometimes you need to keep your documentation private—for example, during a beta launch or for internal-only tools. Docsio allows you to secure your site with a password.

Enabling Protection

1. Navigate to Project Settings > Security.
2. Toggle on Password Protection.
3. Set a strong password.
4. Click Save.

User Experience

Once enabled, any visitor to your documentation URL will be prompted to enter the password before they can view any content. This applies to both your docsio.co subdomain and any custom domains.

Use Cases

• Internal Docs: Keep company-specific guides secure.
• Beta Products: Share documentation only with your beta testers.
• Client Deliverables: Agencies can protect client docs until they are ready for final delivery.
